Jan 2010

Northern District 4 has elected its new officers for 2010.  They are as follows:  Director, Bailey (Mountain Man) Petty.
Vice Director, Keith Roberts.  Treasurer Jeanie (6pac) Petty.  Secretary, Lori Myers.  Sgt at Arms, Handlebar, James Frost and Jeff Poe.  Our meetings are on the third Friday of every month, at 8:00p.m. at the VFW Hall in Elsmere.  We have discussed the proposed new bills that we will face in Frankfort this coming year.  There has been discussion on the Gang bill proposed by Rep. Jody Richards.
The Northern District has made our reservations at Cumberland for the Freedom Fighters Forum.  We are hoping for a large turnout.  I talked to my neighbor who is a lawyer, and also a member of the BMW organization about the gang bill.  He said that he would have to check into that and alert the members of his organization.
The Northern Dist. has made plans with the Richwood Flea Market to do our Mothers Day Bike Show/Swap Meet again this year in May.  We will need vendors, (no food vendors) for this event.  This is one of the events where we meet and socialize with the public.  The Richwood Flea Market is right next to I-75 just south of Cincinnati OH.  Hope to see you there and at the Freedom Fighters Forum.

The Northern District 4 is up and doing fine.  Attendance is small at our meetings.  We get one or two new members at each meeting so we are still growing.  We discuss political and freedom issues.
All of our officers live in the District 4 area.  I have had the KMA trailer since the Freedom Fighters Forum in January.  We did the Mothers Day Bike Show/Swap Meet at the Richwood Flea Market.  This was a good meet to let the public know about motorcycle issues.
We took the trailer to Shepherdsville for the State at the Walneck's Swap meet.  We signed up four new members there.  Gave out all of our L2 signs that we had on hand, and interacted with the public on our issues.
We took the trailer to KY State Police Poker Run in Frankfort.  There were 143 riders, plus a military group on the ride.  It was pointed out to me that the military group all had advanced training on motorcycles, wore safety reflective clothing, and helmets.
Choose your meetings carefully.  We are about Freedom of choice, not charity work or you can ride military style.
Hope to see ya at our meeting.

Feb. 2009

We had our February meeting on the 3rd Friday at the VFW in Elsmere.  The meeting went well.  The few that attended were informed of new laws and regulations.  On one of our trips to Frankfort we had May declared as Motorcycle Awareness Month.  We will be recognized in the Galley on March 5th, 2009.  The ride to work day will be June 15th, 2009.  We are planning on attending the Lincoln Regan day dinner at the Airport Marriott in April.
We need more people involved.  These are your rights that we are trying to protect.  Without attendance our hard efforts will go unrewarded.  Do not let this happen to yours or ours.  Once they take our rights they are even harder to fight to get back.  Hope to see you all at our next meeting.  Stay informed.
